In his teens, Ziyaan caught dengue fever. He made it through the illness relatively well and was discharged from the hospital. The next thing he remembers is waking up three weeks later, having no memory of what had happened.

That experience changed his outlook on life. At 16 he started a non profit that now works in 10 countries and has served over 20,000 people. Currently he's running a tech startup that helps non profits maintain consistent donations. And he's only 21 years old.
