Chris Rowe is running for Congress and joined me for a conversation about his campaign, his policy positions, and so much more.

Chris is running as a Democrat in one of the most Republican districts in the nation. Tennessee's 1st congressional district is R+28 according to the Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI or PVI). There are only THREE districts in the entire nation with a higher rating. The last Democrat who ran in this district lost by 77% of the vote. And the incumbent, Phil Roe (no relation to Chris), is a five-term congressman who wields a great deal of power in the House. The district is considered so safe for Republicans that Chris is running unopposed in the primary.

But Chris is not deterred. And I have to say I am in awe of his passion and willingness to take on the challenge. IMO, running for office is the ultimate form of activism. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and know you will too.
