Originally broadcast May 23, 1990, this episode saw a jump in the ratings to 18.7 million, the 4th highest of the season and a number not seen since the 3rd episode’s 19.2 Million. Mark Frost, the series co-creator takes the reigns for to finish up the first season, writing and directing this episode.

The Log Lady intro to this episode seems more specific than those prior with direct mention of the final moments of the season. The guys discuss the events of the finale that include a list of cliff-hangers is quite long.
