Today we go into James Stafford’s career history speaking about how he originally started out in the finance industry, with the influence of his dad. However, he soon realised recruitment and sales was more suited to him, talking about how he enjoys interacting with customers and speaking to them directly. James reveals one way he got into working for a insurance company was actually offering 2 weeks of unpaid work to prove himself. Sean and James both go on to discuss how by showing a company commitment and a great work ethic can actually be beneficial.
We also talk about the digital transformation occurring in contemporary society and how many employers like to see videos of people fundamentally “selling themselves” and showing their attributes within the video such as, enthusiasm for the job role especially if it involves marketing or sales, editing abilities within the video as well as how you can professionally present yourself. Highlighting all the things people look for when recruiting new staff or apprenticeships.
