Rod Beck is one of three Ada County Commissioners and also the original driving force for closed primaries in the state of Idaho. Idaho had open primaries until 2012, at which point we went to a closed primary system. He is also not a fan of Rank Choice Voting as he sees several potential problems with voter education and implementation. Rod appeared on the show representing just his personal position and not representing the position of the commissioners or the county. Enjoy!

It’s also home to many law enforcement agencies, like Ada County and Canyon county Sheriff offices, Idaho State Police, Eagle Police Department, Meridian Police Department, and many more. The school systems in the area are also quite diverse. Boise school district and West Ada School District, though right next to each other, are quite different. Ada County is also home to our state capital and many of our elected officials.
