Anderson served as a Military Working Dog Handler on multiple deployments to Afghanistan, most recently in 2012 where he served in Panjwai out of FOB Masum Ghar. Leonard talks about his journey to becoming a MWD Handler, his experiences as one, and the day he was struck by a massive IED patrolling outside COP Sperwan Ghar. You will not want to miss this story of perserverance, recovery and the love between a man and his best friend.
