A professional guitarist, performer, composer, producer and music educator with more than 40 years full-time industry experience, Michael has built an amazing career in the entertainment industry based initially out of Sydney, but now days residing in Brisbane, Australia.
This podcast conversation covers a wide variety of topics including dealing with stage fright, the composing process, developing the one man band approach to solo acoustic guitar playing, creating music for licencing via production sound libraries and on a commission basis. The process Michael uses to get a piece of music to be fully performance ready is also covered in detail.
Michael tells of his long association with Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel and also with the Australian guitar brand, Maton.
For the music collaboration between host and guest for this episode, Michael chose a beautiful original composition of his called Peace of Mind. Michael plays his signature Maton acoustic guitar on this beautiful tune and I join in on the concert flute.
