It could be argued that the 1970s was the best decade in movie history. So many iconic films such as The Godfather(s), Jaws, Taxi Driver and Star Wars meant that picking a final 10 was just as difficult as figuring out why Jodie Foster didn't realize it was her own team she was scoring against in Freaky Friday. But the 70s wasn't all champagne and caviar, as for every Annie Hall, or The Sting there was a Carry On Emmannuelle or a Confessions of a Window Cleaner, so which films did we agree were absolute balls. Lewis reveals which 70s film he watched recently at the cinema in preparation and why he had to be brave to do it. We discuss which genres, actors and Directors defined the era, along with our favourite performance (same one) and favourite scene (same one). We give big love to the Robert Powell version of The 39 Steps and determine which actor best portrayed Hercule Poirot. We inevitably go off topic discussing Berlin landmarks, misheard lyrics in songs, the best dog to have in Top Trumps and Blackadder impressions, but the most taxing question for Matt could well have been the culinary question at the end.
