In ep. 22 I sit down with Tory Gabriel who is the fisheries director for OSU’s Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Labs. Stone Lab is “The Ohio State University’s island campus on Lake Erie, hosting 25+ college-credit courses and resume-building workshops each and every summer on our six-acre island in Put-in-Bay harbor. If you’re looking for learning outside the box — outside the classroom — you’ve come to the right place.” Tory and I take a deep dive into the many cool programs and opportunities available to youths and adults including 4H Sea Camp where kids age 15-17 spend a few days on Gibraltar Island and experience a vast array of tasks including time aboard an active Lake Erie research vessel and other opportunities for the community.
