Here’s your first warning, if you have not done so and have the time, you should go watch “Fourth and Long” on Amazon Prime. The 10 part documentary details the inaugural season of the LA KISS of the AFL. One of the main focuses of the documentary series was the quarterback, J.J. Raterink. Now J.J. (our guest this week), played in A LOT of other places other than the LA KISS and I absolutely do not want to diminish his successful career with just his time in LA; J.J. played all over the place and was a very successful quarterback for many years in the AFL. J.J. also spent some time playing in the AF2 and arena football in China. Now that being said, “Fourth and Long,” was a large featured series on AMC, so we can’t just gloss over it. J.J. will walk you listeners through is time in the AFL, as well as, answers some specific questions about the documentary and his time with the LA KISS. J.J. also give a brief bit of time talking about area football in China, a topic we have yet to bring up on the show.
