Grant and 563 sat down once more to chat about an emerging trend happening in the crypto space - Intents... Intents are pretty standard across the traditional finance world. RFQ or request for quote is a standard order type in finance, now people are beginning to take notice that the automated market maker AMM design for decentralized exchanges may not be great for the user or the liquidity provider. Intents have been operation in the spot markets with protocols such as CoW Swap, 1Inch Fusion, Hashflow, UniswapX and 0x Protocol for quite some time (a lot of these would use an RFQ model). Now, we are beginning to see the emergence of Intents for perpetual futures (Perps) which could change the game.
