Welcome back to the Bayside Bubble.

Today we are joined by Gary Nash or ‘Nashie’ as he’s fondly known at the Hampton Rovers Football Club. Nashie has a 40 year history of involvement with the club as a premiership player, boundary umpire, coach, runner, and President.

Now a life member of the club, we sit down and ask him to reflect on his greatest club and sporting achievements over the years.

We are lucky to catch him in the season that marks the 50 year anniversary of Nashie’s premiership win and hear about the reunion in the works and the process of tracking down players. We discuss the changes over the most recent years to the club including the increasingly strengthened women’s side coming up through the age groups, as well as the activities that were carried out over isolation to maintain participation in club activities.

We look to the future of the Hampton Rovers and discuss the community effort to maintain operations and the volunteers that are so vital to the club.
