Joy D. Calloway, MBA, MHSA, is a transformational leader with 30 years of health care and nonprofit leadership experience. She is currently serving as the Executive Director of the National Medical Association, which serves as the collective voice of African American physicians and is the leading force for parity and justice in medicine. Before joining the NMA, Calloway served as the Interim President & CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, joining at a time of great financial, organizational and cultural crisis to stabilize the enterprise and set it on a path to stability. Prior to that, she held the role of Interim Executive Director at the National Association of Health Services Executives as it was transitioning to a new governance model. Joy is also currently writing a book, “One Crisis from Crazy: Finding Myself without Losing My Mind.”
