Today we are going to talk about what is the mindset of hiring the right people the right way
The first thing you have to understand the needs assessment of your company, the reason why you need to hire has to be clear, you want to hire because you want to actually be able to save cost, save time, save energy, save resources and be able to improve revenue and increase the revenue, sales and increase more customers who are getting into your business.
The second thing you need to make clear is what are the goals that you are trying to achieve, what are the goals that you want to achieve in this particular position, is there a number of sales that you are trying to achieve is there a number of goals that they are to achieve are there a number of deals you want to close. What are the specific goals that you are trying to solve, you need to have a clear understanding if that and once you have that in mind you need to think about the salaries for that position, the challenges and you need to be clear that this what we expect from you are a high paid pressure environment , we are working on the internet and things are moving fast so they need to be able to move very fast and you need to be able to learn fast and are you are in the events industry so at times you work on the on weekends. so you have to make expectations and the challenges and the benefits of the job clear. you have your goals, challenges, benefits and you know why you are hiring, you know why you need a new team
Once that's done the easiest way to get people is through your own networks You need to look at the people whom you respect, the organizations that you believe in, or the communities that you are a part of, this may be a church or a rotary club or a university alumni group that is if you come from a university and the people coming from there have a good referrals, you want to be able to tap into that particular network of people and share with them that you are looking for a particular person with certain skills set and you tell them the values and the belief system that you are looking for.
Once you've created an advert or a Facebook post it becomes easier for people who know you and the people who you trust to refer you to the people that they know and trust. Good people are surrounded by good people and high performing people are surrounded by high performing people. People who get results are surrounded by people who get results. it's good to go through the people you admire to try to find people whom they would refer you to.
