Hello and welcome to Take Your Time, a Persona podcast in which hosts Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks are playing through Persona 3 Reload week by week along with the in-game calendar. On episode 32 of the Persona 3 Reload playthrough this season, the hosts dig into the Geoukkan High class trip to Kyoto, as well as a climactic showdown in the Dark Hour near the end of the week.
With little free time to distract us, Jonathon and Tom dive right into the main events of this jam-packed week (sorry...we'll get to social links eventually). That first brings us to the days-long Kyoto trip, which offers the members of S.E.E.S. a chance to relax, reconcile, and...really be dorky teens. We cover the set-up of the trip, the interesting approach to its stories, the surprising level of detail, and some of the most emotional conversations we experienced. Plus, can we pull off its diabolical stealth section?
Then, in addition to some extra free days to recap, we also discuss the major showdown in Tartarus between S.E.E.S. and the members of Strega. We explore what this emotional fight does to the group, how it's handled, and why it was such a gut punch.
