Welcome to the Sounds Like a Search and Rescue Podcast! Also known as SLASR. Join an experienced search and rescue volunteer and his friend as they discuss all things related to hiking and search and rescue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

This week we welcome our friends Mike and Jen to the show. This husband and wife duo are prolific White Mountain hikers who will share some stories of their adventures hiking in and around the Whites. They have also been rounding out their hiking resumes over the last few years with numerous trips out west to explore 31 National parks so we will ask them to give us their highlights and recommendations on where to check out. Jen will also share a cool story about locating her fathers long lost Cabin in Colorado and I’ll dig into their origin story about finding love through hiking. Later in the show Stomp will break down the latest search and rescue news.
