When Yolanda was in high school, it appeared she was a total people pleaser. When anyone asked her for help, she would always say yes. She volunteered anywhere and everywhere help was needed. Many of her friends could not understand why Yolanda always said yes to someone in need.

Yolanda was 9 years old when she tragically lost both parents in a car accident. All of her other family members lived in Mexico, consequently, she became a ward of the state. Upon hearing of her tragedy, a loving family took her in and adopted her. Yolanda’s YES foundation provides mentoring services to children who tragically lost a parent.
