Mel Saavedra is the amazing founder of Steamy Lit, an annual gathering of romance authors and their fans each year in Anaheim, and she’s a proud Latina, Navy Veteran and Dog Mom. She also started the Steam Box, a subscription for romance fans. She works to empower discourse around sexuality and self-love, while also providing a new way for authors to have their work showcased and to promote diverse authors and books.

She’s the owner of the independent romance bookstore, Steamy Lit in Deerfield, Florida and the host of the Romance Unleashed podcast.
