Take a deep dive into the October 7th massacre, Israel's worst emergency.
In this mini-series of eight podcast episodes, co-hosts Dovie Maisel and Elad Bachar will take you minute by minute through that harrowing day, showcasing United Hatzalah's response from the first responders in the field to the commanders at headquarters.
In this fifth episode, they are joined by Paramedic Avi Marcus, who led the United Hatzalah Airborne Medevac Unit and was instrumental in overseeing and participating in evacuating many patients from Heletz Junction to hospitals around Israel via helicopter. They also discuss the many medevac evacuations done in coordination with the IDF 669 Search and Rescue Unit, both in Heletz and in Shuva.
