In this episode of The Male Fertility Podcast, Ciaran and Shaun dive into lifestyle habits that can affect your fertility. In this information packed episode, the lads talk about reducing the stressors in your life and where to actually make a start.

Exercising and Fertility:

Ciaran starts off by talking about how exercising is not only good for your health but also for your fertility. He explains that you don't need to do intense training, and that doing low to moderate, such as going for a 40 minute walk, can be really beneficial.

Diet and Fertility:

Ciaran then goes on to talk about how changing your diet can really help, he talks about how organic food is the best option when it comes to eating. Although this is not always affordable, he suggests eating whole foods.

Alcohol and Fertility:

It is a well known fact that alcohol can affect your fertility negatively. Avoiding drinking can be difficult, especially in a society that holds drinking up high.

Sleep and Fertility:

Ciaran and Shaun talk about how important sleep is, for both our bodies and our minds. Sleep helps your body to repair itself and getting at least 8 hours a night is beneficial for both you and your fertility.

Ciaran and Shaun also gives some tips for those looking to increase their testosterone.

  • Avoid wearing tight pants - try wearing loose briefs
  • Avoid hot baths, saunas or hot tubs
  • If you work in an office where you are sat down all day, try and find a way to stand up for a while
  • Don't work with your laptop on your lap
