Australia has joined other Western nations in slapping new sanctions on Iran - in the wake of reports that Iran is supplying Russia with ballistic missiles for its war against Ukraine. The Federal Government has targeted another five Iranians with financial sanctions and travel bans.

And in the US, the FBI say they "investigating what appears to be an "attempted assassination" of former President Donald Trump at a golf course in Florida, Foreign Minister Penny Wong told RN Breakfast "political violence has no place in any society and certainly has no place in a democracy."
