Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
It is time for the first part of my video game book club segment on Final Fantasy VII Remake! Despite being a huge fan of Final Fantasy since Final Fantasy 1 on the NES and forward, I never found the time to complete Final Fantasy VII Remake since it was released in 2020. With it's sequel just around the corner, I have decided to right that wrong and finally complete the first part of this remake series! I am just at Chapter 10 right now out of 18 total chapters, and I have to say that I am impressed with how they have chosen to flesh out the Midgard content from the original PS1 release. I am also surprised at some of the story changes so far. I know there are bigger changes coming, but I have yet to experience them. Tune in this week to hear my thoughts on the first half of this ambitious first chapter of the remake series, and please make sure to write in to me with your thoughts on this game for the subsequent follow up episode on the last half of the game scheduled to premier on February 27th!
