💙🤝❤️ Clinton County’s Republican and Democrat Committee Presidents joined the podcast to discuss Ohio Issue 1… Maybe you can relate to our journey on this issue:
1. We DIDN’T CARE (because we have other things in our lives to worry about) 😅
2. We CARED TOO MUCH (after reading our own political party’s propaganda) 🤬
3. We were EDUCATED about the three major systems states use across the nation to draw legislative districts maps 🧐
4. We were HUMBLED by the fact that Ohio’s current “politician commission” and proposed “non-politician commission” are both used by less than ~16% of states. 🫣
5. We were EMPOWERED to see the merits of the other political party’s side and feel comfortable that things will be okay whatever happens on November 5. 😇
💙🤝❤️ We hope this podcast episode not only gives you more information on Ohio Issue 1, but also gives you a greater sense of pride in our community after hearing Clinton County’s opposing political leaders come together for a respectful and lighthearted conversation that was marked by both an equal exchange of perspectives and a consideration of creative solutions!
