Phil here: Lots has been said and written on Jack Kirby. It's pretty darn easy to find something somewhere on many of his creations. The Demon is pretty obviously one of his lessor celebrated brain-children. Still, I got some magazines to help on the topic! Naturally, they're from TwoMorrows Publishing. I should also mention that the foreword to The Demon collection from DC that I was using also contains a foreword by Mark Evanier. In it, he describes the origins of how the Demon came to be.
