Remembering Mary Christine Brockert, affectionately known to us all as Teena Marie. On July 24, 2008, after only one month of podcasting, R&B sensation Teena Marie agreed to come on my show.

The platinum selling powerhouse and I talked about her upcoming projects, life with Rick James and her new tour. Her hits include “I’m A Sucker For Your Love,” “Square Biz,” “Lovergirl” and “Ooo La La La.”

She was 54 years old and is survived by a daughter. May she rest peacefully. March 5, 1956 - December 26, 2010.
