The Philadelphia Phillies got 2-RBI nights from Bryson Stott and Kody Clemens as Ranger Suarez tossed 5 scoreless innings to help grab a 5-2 win in Miami. The win gives the Phillies their first 5-game-winning-streak since May 18th to the 23rd.

Suarez relied on his off-speed stuff more than usual as the lefty’s velocity was down on his fastball. He threw 82 pitches over his 5 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 walks. He improves to 12-6 on the season.

Stott got the Phillies on the board in the 1st inning when he inside-out’d a slurve to left field for an RBI single bringing in Trea Turner who walked earlier in the inning. Then in the 6th inning, Stott grabbed the Phils another run with a solo homer to the upper deck in right field. He got a 2-1 fastball at the top of the zone and he blasted it for his 11th homer of the season.

After Stott was done doing damage, Kody Clemens took over with a 2-run double to left and then scored on a wild pitch.
