A strong earthquake struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023. The strength of an earthquake is measured on a scale of one to ten. This earthquake has the magnitude of 7.8. The earthquake wrecked thousands of buildings across Turkey and Syria. It killed at least 21,000 people and injured thousands. Life was already difficult in Syria before the earthquake struck. Rebels have been fighting the government for 12 years, causing many Syrians to flee to other countries and leading the life of a refugee.
