Upper Darby Proud Boys member receives 100-day prison sentence for role in Jan. 6 Capitol riot

An Upper Darby man has been sentenced to more than three months behind bars after pleading guilty to his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Brian Healion was sentenced Tuesday to 100 days in prison followed by 36 months of supervised release. The 33-year-old was a member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Proud Boys and pleaded guilty to a felony civil disorder charge in February.

Prosecutors say Healion assisted other rioters with crossing back and forth over the police perimeter before spending about 20 minutes inside the Capitol building.

More than 1,450 people have been charged so far in connection with the Capitol attack, including Philly Proud Boys chapter president Zach Rehl, who was convicted in May of last year and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
