Across the country, we rely on nurses for critical medical care and they’re often the ones we see throughout an entire doctor’s visit. Like some other professions, this industry is facing a dire shortage. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation will need more than 275,000 additional nurses from 2020 to 2030. This shortage isn’t just fueled by high turnover and burnout from the pandemic, there’s also a need for more nursing educators – without them, the industry can’t grow the next generation of nurses. We went breakdown the various factors contributing to this shortage and how it may impact your health.
