After one-month pause, Mostafa Maleki & Mahmoud Javadi shared some introductory ideas on the concept of "science diplomacy" in the third episode of the IRAN-DACH podcast and went further to shed light on German science diplomacy and the state of play between Iran and Germany under this increasingly significant concept. In addition, IRAN-DACH Podcast was privileged and honored to share a pre-recorded interview with Iran's AmirKabir University of Technology Professor Gevork B. Gharehpetian who is among world's top 1% elite scientists according to Essential Science Indicators (ESI) ranking system. Professor Gharehpetian is now co-running a scientific project with his counterpart from the University of Stuttgart and has previously granted scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), to carry out part of his PhD program at the High Voltage Institute of RWTC Aachen, Germany. Professor Gharehpetian shared his viewpoints on Iranian-German scientific cooperation and science diplomacy and raised a couple of recommendations to improve the bilateral collaboration in the field of science and science diplomacy.
