The Matrix Resurrections is a sequel we didn’t ask for. In fact we really didn’t ask for any of the Matrix sequels. The original was a true classic. Groundbreaking in all respects with story and iconic characters. And it’s those characters that often get destroyed by the lazy Hollywood trend of rebooting and rearranging our favourite movies. I’m worried that our hero and Neo and his strong counterpart Trinity will be raked across the coals of identity politics. And Neo may not even be “The One” anymore.
