Judy BouKheir (pronounced BOO-CARE) is a retired professional educator, choral director and musician. Judy is also someone in recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder.

Following her inpatient treatment for addiction, Judy connected to peer recovery resources in her community. Her recovery was such a positive and profound event in her life, she decided to obtain a Masters in Counseling and currently is licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Texas.

Although retired, Judy is active in the recovery community in the greater Houston area. She started a nonprofit to help teens and their families find recovery from addiction and provide support to teens for sustained sobriety.

She currently works as a licensed professional counselor, offering hope to individuals as they face life challenges not only with addiction, but in other areas of their lives, so they can live a life full of joy and purpose.
