There are lots of problems with Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’ vice presidential choice. He visited China 30 times on a teacher’s salary. He chose the fifth anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre for his wedding because he wanted a date he’d “always remember.” That’s the day Chinese Communists slaughtered pro-democracy activists.

Walz delayed sending in the National Guard as Minneapolis burned during the George Floyd riots. He sent Covid patients into nursing homes. And he suggested he served in combat when he hasn’t.

But these aren’t the biggest problems with Tim Walz. The biggest problem with Tim Walz is that despite all of this, Kamala Harris chose him anyway.

Few Americans cast their vote based on the vice-presidential candidate. But that candidate tells us plenty about the views and priorities of the presidential nominee. Walz tells us nothing good about Kamala Harris.
