STORY 3: New State Election Rules Come Under Fire

Voting rights advocates and local election officials criticized recent rules approved by Georgia's Republican-controlled State Election Board, claiming they create unnecessary confusion and could delay election result certification. The new rules require county officials to ensure result accuracy, reconcile ballots with voter totals, and hand-count ballots on Election Night. Critics argue these changes could enable election result denial and overstep legal authority, spreading mistrust and burdening election workers. The forum, moderated by Daily Post reporter Curt Yeomans, will conclude at 8 p.m.
