This week on the show Maine, Emil and Austin break down Quintet Ultra, and the IBJJF 2019 No-Gi Worlds, as well as preview SUG 10.
In the news section of the show lots of Brown Belts got promoted to black belt.
In the recap of Quintet Ultra we break down the superfights that saw Gordon Ryan win via kneebar in quick fashion, as well as Craig Jones secure an RNC. In the team section of the event we saw team UFC versus team Pride, and Team WEC take on Team Strikeforce. In the finals we see team UFC versus team Strikeforce. We talk about all the matches and the highlight moments from the event.
In the recap section of the 2019 IBJJF No-Gi World Championships we go through every adult Black Belt Final match for the men and woman. We break down the technical adjustments that happened in the men’s absolute between Cyborg and Victor Hugo, how they had faced each other earlier in the day to a different result. We talk about the crazy teammate versus teammate match between Dante Leon and former world champ Jaime Canuto, in a match that had it all. Vinicius Ferreira Gazola Vs. Eliot Andrew Kelly in the super heavy final and a quick Estima lock based on amazing timing.
After that we talk about next weekends Submission Underground 10 event that has superfights between Gordon Ryan and Gabriel Gonzaga, and Craig Jones Vs. Gilbert Burns we talk about how and why we think both matches will go.
In the outro section we tease next weeks top 10 matches of the year show, and end of the year recap.
