Taxi Girls – Go Plug Yourself 292
Manage episode 403760663 series 1946820
The Montreal podcast that asks Montreal punk rockers Taxi Girls the question: “If you could travel anywhere and anywhen in the world – where and when would you go?” That question was asked by Dan Kestler-D’amours back in episode 291.
I’ve known Lynn (drummer of the Taxi Girls) for quite a while now. We met back when she was a skater for La Racaille as part of Montreal Roller Derby. So it’s only fitting that I invited my co-announcer from those roller derby days to co-host this episode with: Single Malt Scott! You might know him better as “Scott from 9ES.”
It was no surprise to me at all when I found out that Lynn was a rock n’ roll drummer back in the day and even less of a surprise when I saw she was part of an awesome band called the Taxi Girls when the debuted on the scene in 2022! Since then they’ve been all over the place, recently opening for a little band you may have heard of called NOBRO.
We sat down with Jamie, Vera and Lynn and our favorite spot (Grumpy’s) and shot the shit for your enjoyment. It’s all punk rock, music and roller derby this episode so sit back, relax and enjoy the show! It’s a real guest and everything!
If you want to give Taxi Girls a listen check out their video for Sunshine now! Keep up to date with the Taxi Girls on Instagram @taxigirlsmontreal and if you’re really down go to L’Esco on April 24th to see Taxi Girls, New Vogue and Cornette!
