Yes, there are other games played, being plaed, and still to be played. But...this IS primarily about the Hawkeyes, no? So the first half rough. As in REALLY rough. Avid Mike and I all but lamented tbat this might be a two-hour rant. Trust me, nobody wants that. Somehow, the second half turned from "This sucks, what'changed, this team is the same as last yea and the year before!" to, "Hey, this has possibilities!" SO what changed? What made it better? How did the Hawkeyes become a team that looked like the laughing stock of 2021-22-23...and suddenly turn into team that could, arguably, score almost at will? As much as Mike and I had to say, we didn't have a direct line to the locker room. Presumably, neither did Head Coach Kirk Ferentz. So...what changed? What made things better? Mike and I will disuss that, along with what might have just "improved", and WHO might have made any difference. And of course, we'll note the big winners, who can be the new laughing stock--at least for the next week--and what teams can do to become relevant. Naturally, though, we'll focus on what the Hawkeyes need to do to win next Saturday against Iowa State, and what the Hawkeyes need to do to continue this sudden explosion on the offense's sid of the ball.
