Ape-ril is back and bigger than ever! We just saw Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire. While we loved to see our boys getting along (mostly) and the screenwriters cribbing ideas from our goofball monster show (VERY allegedly), it got us thinking about the perennial complaint about this kind of movie. Can you actually "get rid of the boring human characters" in a kaiju film and still have a fully functional movie?
