The third episode of the Lung Health Matters podcast focuses on health inequalities. The panel discuss how poverty acts as a major risk factor for lung diseases like asthma and lung cancer, exploring the environmental and individual inequalities affecting these conditions. The panel also discuss what small changes clinicians can make to limit inequalities. This episode is hosted by Dr Marielle Pijnenburg, Head of Dept. of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and Allergology, Sophia Children’s Hospital. Marielle is joined by Dr Ian Sinha, Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, and Prof. Torsten Blum, consultant physician at the Lungenklinik Heckeshorn, Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring in Berlin as well as at the Medical School Berlin.
