There are few stories of redemption in the criminal justice system as incredible as that of Mel Chancey. A larger than life character, both from the physical and the personality standpoint – he truly embodies what rehabilitation hopes to be.
After leading a notorious biker gang, he found God in prison and now offers his life as a shining light for others. This is part two of a two-part chat with Mel and one of the legendary undercover ATF agents who helped pivot his story, Chris Bayless.
Chrisser, one of Sal’s mentors and best friends was previously on the podcast. His influence in law enforcement and mental health is a great driver in the show.
In this episode Mel talks about finding God, how he approaches the platform he’s been given and what he’s up to now and Chrisser explains why he believes his consistent approach to law enforcement helped he and Mel become the lifelong friends they are to this day.
