Send us a text Maurizio's story is one of overcoming adversity. He was born in Italy and came to America as an immigrant. He didn't speak English and was picked on by other kids. But he learned how to handle himself and became a good student and athlete. He played football in college and then went on to have a successful career. His story is an inspiration to us all. I am a first-generation Italian immigrant who was blessed in every aspect of life. I am competitive in everything I am fortunate enough to be exposed to. There are two things that drive and inspire me other than my family. Being privileged with the development of people is critical. It allows me to be as excited about walking into my office as I am about going home. It has become a ministry for me. Secondly, something that has become a sort of crusade for me, is finding my, "Peter principle". Yes, believe it or not, I do see a genuine appreciation for not being the smartest guy in the room. I live by a phrase that has no sway, "I do what I say and I say what I am going to do. https://www.maurizio-scrofani.net Subscribe to our Podcast Newsletter https://view.flodesk.com/pages/64e2b98cca259e13f0890575 Podcast Swag https://millions.co/doing-business-with-a-servant-s-heart-san-jose Get your 2024 Serving Journal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSNSY1M1…

Send us a text Old school copywriting is all about understanding the reader's needs and desires, and then crafting a message that speaks to them directly. It's about creating a spark of interest and drawing the reader into the client's world. Most websites are stuck on level one messaging, which is informational. This means they simply tell the reader who they are and what they do. However, the best websites use aspirational messaging to focus on the reader and what they want. They speak to the reader's negative present and their potential positive future. Transformational messaging is the highest level of messaging, and it's often used in B2C marketing. It's about helping the reader imagine a new and better version of themselves. AI is a disruptive force in the copywriting world. It can be used to generate creative ideas, personalize messages, and scale content production. One copywriter, Dean, has been using AI copywriting services for the past four and a half months. He says that he hasn't found a limit yet to what AI can do for copywriting. In summary, old school copywriting is still alive and well, and AI is playing an increasingly important role in the industry. By understanding the different levels of messaging and how to use AI effectively, copywriters can create more engaging and persuasive content. Dean Waye is a copywriter, scriptwriter and webinar producer. He’s written for over 250 clients on every continent except Antarctica. Today he’s the Chief Writer at the Best Damn Webinar Company, where he helps science, technology and engineering teams create live events that make audiences say “My boss is gonna want to meet these guys”. Recently had my 50 millionth email opened. Watched my 700th sunrise in a row. Wrote a cold email with a 100% open rate (still not sure how that happened). Taught an AI agent how to write like me. Send us a text Dave Nordel discusses his book, When the Cows Lie Down: Why People Quit You—Their Leader. He explains that the title is a metaphor for the importance of slowing down and paying attention to the subtle signs that something is wrong. He believes that most people quit their leaders, rather than their jobs, and that this is due to a poor leadership culture. Nordel identifies three types of quitting: good quitting, bad quitting, and quitting when you have no choice. Good quitting is when someone leaves a job because it is not a good fit for them or because they need to take care of their own health and well-being. Bad quitting is when someone leaves a job in a destructive or unprofessional manner. Quitting when you have no choice is when someone is forced to leave a job due to circumstances beyond their control, such as a layoff or illness. Nordel argues that leaders need to create a culture where people feel comfortable quitting when they need to, and where they are not punished for leaving. He also believes that leaders need to be aware of the signs that people are unhappy and take steps to address them before they quit. The book is written in a conversational style and includes personal anecdotes and stories from Nordel's own life. It is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to understand why people quit and how to create a more positive and productive work environment. www.maxfabconsulting.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-nordel-85265246/ Subscribe to our Podcast Newsletter https://view.flodesk.com/pages/64e2b98cca259e13f0890575 Podcast Swag https://millions.co/doing-business-with-a-servant-s-heart-san-jose Get your 2024 Serving Journal https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSNSY1M1…

Send us a text In this episode of "Doing Business with a Servant's Heart," host Steve Ramona welcomes Chris, who discusses the innovative approach of strategic thought leadership marketing. Chris emphasizes the importance of leading a segment to think differently rather than merely optimizing existing marketing models. He introduces the concept of "Imagineering," inspired by Walt Disney, which involves three distinct mental spaces: the Dreamer, who imagines limitless possibilities; the Realist, who breaks down ideas into actionable steps; and the Critic, who evaluates these ideas against established standards. Chris highlights the importance of understanding customer perspectives and gathering insights directly from conversations with potential clients, using AI to analyze these discussions. He outlines a methodical approach, represented by the acronym LEO (Listen, Envision, Output), where listening to customer needs informs the creation of unique value propositions. By packaging insights into clear, relatable models, businesses can establish themselves as thought leaders, ultimately fostering stronger connections with their audiences and distinguishing themselves in competitive markets. The conversation underscores the necessity of genuine engagement and innovative thinking to drive meaningful marketing strategies.
