The Chicks, Cindy and Martha, address the elements of emotional intelligence as it relates to others in the form of social awareness and social regulation.
Social awareness has two primary components, the ability to show empathy, like being able to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. The second component is being able to read the room during a team meeting or a larger group scenario, which means paying attention to the verbal and nonverbal responses of others.
Social regulation pertains to being able to influence the emotional clarity of others to manage relationships effectively and create a network of followers. Tips are shared on how to grow in these two dimensions of EQ as well.
