Hi, how are you all?

First of all, thanks a lot to all you friends for this amazing response. Many of you not only liked the promos but also gave us very useful insights & suggestions along with some queries too which prompted me to make this video.

What is a Podcast? Like YouTube produces video content, Podcast gives us audio content. In 2005 Apple produced iTunes and was set to broadcast it from where this name Podcast came into existence. Though it was on air for over a decade but exploded in 2014 and in India it became quite popular since 2018. Currently it has over 40 million listeners per month. Until recently Podcast hosted mostly musical content, but in recent years the major chunk has been taken by non-musical content. Earlier the contents were predominantly were in English, but of late Hindi and other regional languages took over. There is a plethora of content available now – talk shows, news or current affairs, fantasy, history, devotional, mythological, comedy, drama, reviews, biographies, documentary, interviews, expert advice, fiction, motivational and many more.

Since it was a new medium, advertisers too got benefited. They were able to negotiate better rates. Because this platform it pretty groovy & catchy, listeners get hooked to it pretty easily. One thing which turned into gold for them was that listeners here were incredibly loyal and sticky. Also the industry was growing over 60%.

Most of us are glued to various screens of TV, Laptops or mobiles all day with our heads down for the video based content whereas the audio contents provided by Podcast gives you a chance to raise your head in pride. Ha Ha Ha. You can gauge its popularity all around you. Don’t you see people with quite sexy looking headphones roaming everywhere you go? You can download a series of such contents and listen to it as and when you like. While Driving, or while jogging / walking or just while laying around lazily on the bed….as bed time stories that is. Why should kids have all the fun? That’s the fun part.

Now, something important and serious - How do you listen to Podcast? Well!!!! Just like you select and see your favorite content on YouTube or Netflix. All you need to do is download and install the App compatible to your operating system. Example Apple Podcast for iPhones and Google Podcasts for Android users.
