OVERVIEW:

Stephan sits down with the Victoria, BC-based indie studio Hololabs (@hololabs) to talk about their currently-in-beta augmented reality (AR) project Sky Haven (@skyhavenapp) coming to mobile sometime soon.

We discuss the challenges of AR development, making a geography-based game interesting in Canada's massive surface area, keeping the experience consistent across countless mobile devices and more.

Stay tuned next week for a 2nd interview with Hololabs and their collaborators JonJon and Kid Koala about their 2017 cult classic rhythm game Floor Kids which we recorded at the end of November but wanted to make sure we got right- enjoy!
