South Sydney Rabbitohs owner and Hollywood superstar Russell Crowe has lent his voice to a five-minute NRL promotional video, explaining the rules of rugby league in a bid to attract US audiences to the historic NRL double header blast in Vegas.
Former Souths junior-turned NFL superstar Jordan Mailata in Vegas for the lead up to tomorrow’s Super Bowl, is also promoting the NRL blast.
Mailata caught up with Hollywood royalty, “The Rock”, showing him some NRL highlights and asking for his opinion on a rugby league ball.
Crowe and Mailata are expected to be in attendance at Allegiant Stadium when the Rabbitohs play Manly Sea Eagles on 03 March.

In SportsBiz: US$17.3Billion is projected to be spent on food, drinks, apparel, decorations, and other purchases for Super Bowl LVIII tomorrow, according to a 2024 Super Bowl survey.
It also noted that 112.2 million people are planning to throw or attend a party, and an additional 16.2 million plan to watch the game at a bar or restaurant.
Staying with the NFL: Counting down to Super Bowl LVIII – the fire alarm at the Las Vegas hotel where the San Francisco 49ers are in lockdown leading up to Super Bowl LVIII went off on Thursday, abruptly waking players and coaching staff at 6am.
Hotel engineers managed to shut it down after 25 minutes, saying it was a false alarm and that nobody was forced to evacuate, according to ESPN.
