Being a parent has to be one of the hardest jobs ever! But yet the most rewarding. Today we talk about parenting from our experiences. Now we try to be diplomatic in the way we take in information that helps us be our best selves in this role. This conversation is important because there is a lot brought up sometimes we feel alone in certain challenges in motherhood. Heck even dudes could maybe take something from this too. Does baby fever ever go away? Some say yes some say no. It really depends on where you are in your life. How old or young or you? Have you had children yet? Is the biological clock ticking? Or are you totally content where your at? Either way what your feeling is totally normal. If it’s either a burning desire or a passing thought, no matter where your at, dig deep and sit with it and you know in the end what to do. EVERYONE has a funny baby or kid story! We had so many to pick from really. But it only seemed appropriate to share the first one that came to mind. 💩 Breastfeeding... this day and age it’s strongly promoted to at least try and just. We know many who don’t and it’s not for us to ever judge anyone based on that decision. I’d assume it would have been a well thought out decision. But we both miss this experience. So if this is your path take it while you can! How are kids so resilient? They have this ability to really living in the moment. They also have this ability to block certain memories. Typically when they go into survival mode. They don’t even know it but they do what ever they can to just move forward. They haven’t learned how to deal yet. So they are pro when it comes to stuffing things away. It is a thing that we take memories that we don’t remember (I know right?) and it stores in our subconscious and it develops into complexes as we become adults. Those experiences and feelings you stuffed when you were a kid? Yeah now they are back and now as an adult your wondering why something that is causing you hurt, sadness, drama or triggers are typically things that happened from when you were so young that you barely remember. This will take someone with serious experience to work with you on. But there is hope. We can all overcome these challenges. You just have to be open if you choose to go this route. I suggest to many to do so. Our habits can actually stem from our families history as far as behaviours go. Some of these things stem so deep! It takes work to uncover these issues. They typically don’t get uncovered until your open the change because the current you is getting in the way. Again you would typically do this with someone who has experience in this. If you are sure on which direction to go with this just PM us and we have some highly recommended people for this. Called ‘inner child work’. So at the end of the day our little babies are so vulnerable we need to protect them by having our full attention. Talks like this help as well as good parent groups. Mostly on FB in our experience. I’m happy to share a good friend of mine who started a very diplomatic group. Drama there is NOT tolerated! Strongly suggest if your looking for a place to vent and or learn, check out Bad Moms of BC! So good! BOXTALK PODCAST IG: @boxtalkpoodcast #boxtalkpodcast Thank all for all your loving messages!
