Hour 1

Gio thinks the steroid era has ruined the great season that Aaron Judge is having. He’s doing things we haven’t seen since the steroid guys, but because we’ve seen the steroid guys, we’ve seen this happen before. Gio also can’t believe how much the NFL has grown and MLB has fallen since 1998. Gio doesn’t think Aaron Judge’s historic season is being covered properly by the national sports media. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first we talked about trying to get Jerry the Knicks play by play job. Jerry started with the Yankees as Judge homered twice and Soto also homered. Brandon Tierney filled in for Suzyn last night. Jerry plays, ‘What the hell was that?’ It’s an excited Evan Roberts on the Mets walk off HR. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer has gifts for Gio from a golf course in NJ. The overnight caller, Brett on Long Island, got under the skin of Al Cintron who hosted overnights last night. Gio said Brett has a skill to get under every hosts’ skin. Gio called him a ‘Top 5 most annoying caller’.

Hour 2

We talked about a caller named Brady who called in from California last week. We also took a call from a guy who saw Joe DiMaggio play a game and then met him at a restaurant after the game. The ‘Go Buchanan Go’ guy got passed Al this morning. Jerry returns for an update but first we have a classic call from the ‘Go Buchanan Go’ guy called Russo and Malulsis when they were on remote. Jerry starts with the Yankees beating the Guardians behind 2 Judge home runs and another from Soto. Brandon Tierney was filling in for Suzyn in the booth last night. The Mets beat the Orioles on a walk off HR by Jesse Winker. Rob Saleh talked about their joint practice with the Giants. Sauce Gardner commented on Daniel Jones that is getting headlines for some reason. The Broncos announced Bo Nix as their starting QB. The Giants passed on him and Michael Penix in the draft. In the final segment of the hour, we played a clip of Theo Von talking to Donald Trump about cocaine. Gio compared this to Frost/Nixon.

Hour 3

Boomer said this season will be Daniel Jones’ ‘career moment’. He needs to have a year with 35 TDs and 10 INTs. Boomer thinks the schedule is set up for him to get off to a great start and he hopes they continue to throw the ball downfield like they’ve been doing in the preseason. Sauce Gardner seemed to have a hard time describing what he thinks about Daniel Jones as a quarterback. We talked about some of the worst coaches hired in NY since 2017. A caller did not like the Jesse Winker celebration after the walk off HR yesterday. Jerry returns for an update and starts with a caller named Brady from last week when Al was out. Jerry has audio of the Yankees beating the Guardians behind 2 Judge and 1 Soto home runs. Jerry has the call from Gary Cohen as Jesse Winker hit a walk off HR as the Mets beat the Orioles. Daniel Jones and Malik Nabers talked about practicing with the Jets yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Jets fans expectations and how in the back of their minds, they are always waiting for things to turn sour.

Hour 4

Bo Nix was named the starter in Denver and Boomer commented before how the Giants passed him over. Gio asked him about that. Gio is not so sure that Bo Nix is the next Drew Brees for Sean Payton. Boomer thinks the rookie quarterbacks should sit for 6 weeks. Gio thinks New England is the worst team in the league with the Raiders right behind them. The Panthers are also terrible. We went over a bunch of over/under win totals for various NFL teams. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Guardians with two Judge homers and a Soto shot as well. Evan Roberts was on the air when Jesse Winker hit his walk off HR and Jerry had the audio. The Moment of The Day involves Al getting fooled ...
