In Chris's words: "I remember closing a Nancy Drew novel and once trying to write my own mystery. I had to have been ten years old. ... I wrote the first few paragraphs and there was a scene with something in the kitchen ... a combination of a stove and a this and a that. ... I remember thinking I'm going to have to go back and figure out what that is.
