The typical late summer days of Flordia brought plenty of thunderstorms and rain to the Daytona International Speedway. It eventually became a nightmare for Martin Truex Jr as his playoff spot faded away on Sunday. Austin Dillon snuck in to lock himself into the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. The rain also caused problems late in the race which took out several cars and had many drivers sound off about NASCAR officials.
