Judy BouKheir (pronounced BOO-CARE) is a retired professional educator, choral director and musician. Judy is also someone in recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder. Following her inpatient treatment for addiction, Judy connected to peer recovery resources in her community. Her recovery was such a positive and profound event in her life, she decided to obtain a Masters in Counseling and currently is licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Texas. Although retired, Judy is active in the recovery community in the greater Houston area. She started a nonprofit to help teens and their families find recovery from addiction and provide support to teens for sustained sobriety. She currently works as a licensed professional counselor, offering hope to individuals as they face life challenges not only with addiction, but in other areas of their lives, so they can live a life full of joy and purpose. Lisa Stilwell, LCSW attended Columbia University for her Liberal Arts degree, and the University of Washington for both her BA in Psychology and her Master's in Social Work (MSW). Lisa had the privilege to have studied with Marcia Linehan PhD, G. Alan Marlatt PhD, and Social Development researcher Kevin Haggerty. After graduation Lisa worked in research with the Social Development Research Group. Following that experience she began working at the Therapeutic Health Services in Seattle, WA in their community mental health treatment center. Lisa continued on at the Evergreen Treatment Services, a medication assisted treatment center. Her role was to work with individuals who lived with comorbid mental health and addictive disorders. After moving to Maui, HI, Lisa went into private practice while also providing group sessions for court ordered drug offenders. Lisa currently provides services through an online platform where she is able to reach a wide and diverse consumer group.
